This is a song from the Dr. Seuss on the Loose story presentation The Sneetches. One night the Star-Belly Sneetches were having a frankfurter roast at a few camp fires while the Plain-Belly Sneetches were depressed and out in the cold a distance away from the Star-Belly Sneetches, who did not allow the Plain-Belly Sneetches join them. The Star-Belly Sneetches then celebrate their stars in song.
Song[]
From the heights of Muba Muba, To the Gullies of Ga-Zoo
There is nobody else who has one, We're the favorite few who do.
And so a toast! Raise your marshmallow stick!
A toast! Raise your good fellow stick!
A toast to the glorious gimmick-ick
That makes us what we are!
Sound off and let the welcome ring
In praise of our exclusive thing
A toast! Raise your marshmallow stick!
A toast! Raise your good fellow stick!
A toast to your bellied star!
Song #2 (Reprise)[]
(A reprisal of the song after all the Star-Belly Sneetches and the Plain-Belly Sneetches have learned a valuable lesson about inclusion after wasting all their money on Sylvester McMonkey McBean's Star-On Machine and Star-Off Machine to get their stars on and off and on and off again until they couldn't remember who was a Star-Belly and who was a Plain-Belly. Then the all the Sneetches decided to get along and had a frankfurter roast forgetting about who has a star and who doesn't.)
A toast! Raise your marshmallow stick!
A toast! Raise your good fellow stick!
A toast to the silly gimmick-ick
That we have here and thar
Sound off and let the welcome ring
So what to your star-spangled thing?
A toast! Raise your marshmallow stick!
A toast! Raise your good fellow stick!
And pooh pooh pooh to your bellied star!
