- There are two versions of the song. The first version is sung by the Lorax cast members when Ted plants the seed near the end of the movie. The second version is sung by Ester Dean, this version was played in the credits.
- When Norma sings the word "pay", she hits O'Hare, the seller of air, on the head with her walking stick.
- Ted and Audrey are the only people who don't sing, despite their voice actors being professional singers.
