Penguins are birds from "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That".

Penguins are black and white birds. There are 17 different types: Adelies, Chinstraps, Gentoos, and Emperors. The Emperor Penguin can weigh up to 75 pounds. The Little Blue Penguin is about 2 pounds.

Penguins are flightless birds, but they can swim up to 25 miles an hour with their flipper-like wings. Their webbed feet are used to steer when they're sliding on ice. Their stiff feathers keep them warm during snowstorms, and when oiled, they're waterproof. A penguin's popular food is fish, and the bird's predators are killer whales and leopard seals. Not all penguins are found in Antarctica. Some are found in Southern African deserts with seals, and South American deserts with armadillos and llamas.
