Pontoffel Pock was a dill pickle factory worker, in the beginning the narrator (Pontoffel) was explaining that he always wanted a nice, simple and happy job to escape his tragic life at home. He was a character in the animated series that was not based off a book "Pontoffel Pock And His Magic Piano" or "Pontoffel Pock, Where Are You?" (Written by Dr. Seuss in 1979) (First Aired on ABC in 1980)
