Rupert is Rosy Robin Ross's red rhinoceros. His name was revealed in the Living Books version of Dr. Seuss's ABC.
He likes rhubarb and rice, but thinks rhumba is ridiculous. he even eats a glass bowl from where he ate his lunch at.
He likes to shake his rear most times.
He chases a Zed he saw coming out the word "Rhinoceros" He feels sad about the quarry rock-n-roll rock performing rock-n-roll star music for Icabod and Izzy.

- He may be named after the titular character from the Little Golden Book, Rupert the Rhinoceros.
- Although it is unspecified what kind of rhinoceros he is, he has one horn. Therefore because Asian rhinoceroses have one horn, he could be either a greater one-horned or a Javan rhinoceros. The African rhinoceros (black and white) and Sumatran rhinoceros all have two horns.
