The Cat in the Hat (Russian: Кот в колпаке) is a 1984 Russian animated film based on the book of the same name by Dr. Seuss. This version is notable for depicting the Cat as blue instead of black and white and not wearing his signature red and white hat. Thing One and Thing Two do not appear in this film, making it the only adaptation to not include them. This is the first adaptation to fully reveal the children's mother.
