The Gerald McBoing-Boing Show (also known as The Boing-Boing Show) was a weekly anthology series consisting of UPA cartoons which was "hosted" by Gerald McBoing-Boing and Bill Goodwin. It aired on CBS during primetime from 1956 to 1957, making it the first animated series to air on primetime.
The show has not aired since the late '70s, and the shorts featured in it can be very hard to come by. For many of the shorts the only publicly available copies come from VHS recordings of the German version of The Pink Panther Show (Der rosarote Panther - Zu Gast bei Paulchens Trickverwandten), which has the UPA shorts added into the mix. A significant chunk of the shorts were released on VHS in the early '90s, although these tapes are becoming increasingly harder to come by.
