A baffled child awakens one morning to find everything's out of place, but no one seems to notice, except himself (thus it can be assumed that he is the only one who can see these occurrences)! Beginning readers will have fun discovering all the wacky things wrong on each page while sharpening their ability to observe, as well as to read.

- One of the legs of the chair is missing the middle part
- An upside-down shoe underneath the bed.
- The numbers on the clock are in the wrong order
Page 7-The Kitchen[]
- An insect holds up one corner of the refrigerator.
- One of the teacups is floating in mid-air instead of hanging on the wall.
- An umbrella in a pot on the stove
- A part of the table is missing.
- A mouse chasing a cat.

- The window and door of a yellow house have switched places.
- The door of a pink house is missing.
- The window isn’t attached to a white house, but is instead floating next to it
- A tree growing in the chimney of a pink house.
- A woman pulling a tiger in her carriage.
- A man has a steering wheel in the back seat of a car
Page 8-Along the Street[]
- The back and side of a house are missing.
- The sun is green.
- Part of a telephone pole is missing.
- The back wheels of the car are missing and the passenger's legs are sticking out the bottom.
- The driver wears a shoe on his head.

- The “stop” and “go” of the traffic light are inverted.
Page 9-The Sutherland Sisters[]
- One of the sisters doesn’t have visible legs and another doesn’t have a visible neck.
Page 10-In Front of the School[]
- A turtle (who doesn’t appear to be Yertle) is in a tree.
- A shoe hangs from a tree.
- The “for sale” sign is misspelled as “fur sale”.
- There are two tigers in the window
- The school sign is spelt “George Washington Schoul”.
- The colors of the stars and stripes of the American flag are inverted.
- A shoe on top of the flagpole.
- Part of the flagpole is missing.
Page 11-The Classroom[]
- Miss Bass, the teacher, wears roller skates.
- One of the Sutherland sisters is standing on a student's head.
- The student is sitting down, despite the fact that he has no chair.
- A student's desk is facing backwards.
- One of the students has a long white beard.
- Another student has no visible head.
- The portrait that is supposed to be of George Washington is of Abraham Lincoln.
- The last two letters of the alphabet, letters Y and Z, have switched places.

- Washington’s name on his portrait is misspelled as “Washingtom” and he has been replaced by Ulysses S. Grant
- A mouse chews on the end of the telephone cord, which runs through the potted plant.
