Young Cat is a young kitten who resembles The Cat in the Hat. He wears a red tie and a red and white hat just like The Cat in the Hat. The Cat in the Hat shows Young Cat how to have fun of learning how to read by taking him on an adventure.

He is known to be the son kitten of The Cat in the Hat due to resemblance. He has a sister kitten and his great-great-great-great grandfather is King Looie Katz.

Young Cat appears in the book I Can Read with My Eyes Shut!, I Can Draw It Myself, and I Can Lick 30 Tigers Today! and Other Stories.
